Tivaevae Hand Weaving Workshop

Join Ramona and Sina from Blue Bell Club for a Tivaevae Hand‑Stitching Workshop.

Held every Thursday from 11.30am - 2.30pm in the Kai Tahi arcade, this free session introduces you to the vibrant art of Tivaevae: hand‑stitched quilts and textiles inspired by local motifs such as hibiscus, frangipani, and foliage. Using embroidery stitches, fabric cut‑outs are secured onto a backing fabric to create bold, beautiful designs.

You’re welcome to bring your own supplies (fabric, cotton, needle, scissors) or purchase a kit from the Blue Bell Club shop.

This is a relaxed and social workshop, open to everyone 🧡 🌺
